MAUREEN MWANGI — Build an Obsession Brand Podcast

Podcast Brand & Promo Graphics

Maureen Mwangi helps product-based entrepreneurs build brands that don’t just sell — they become obsessions. As a brand growth strategist, she teaches the strategies big brands use to create brand obsession and maximize sales through her podcast, Build an Obsession Brand — a multi-dimensional mix of solo episodes, curated guest experts across the beauty, fashion, and food industries, and live client sessions. When Maureen renamed her podcast and shifted its direction, she needed the visuals to catch up. The old brand reflected a tactical, how-to approach. The new one needed to feel like something bigger — a space where strategy meets creative vision, and where entrepreneurs leave each episode feeling both inspired and equipped.

She came to me knowing what she wanted to move toward. She just needed someone who could see it clearly enough to build it.

Project scope:

Podcast cover art (square + story format), a banner version of the cover art, PNG logo files, a podcast mockup, and four add-ons — a promo square and story graphic, an episode audio preview graphic, a quote graphic, and a reel cover.

The Before

The After

Same brand roots. A visual identity bold enough to match the vision.

When Maureen reached out, she had already done the hard work of evolving her thinking. The podcast had a new name, a new direction, and a much bigger creative ambition — but the visuals hadn’t made the leap yet. She sent over a moodboard filled with light, airy imagery that, on its own, told only half the story. The energy she described was something else entirely: confident, bold, dynamic, grounded. A smart, no-nonsense guide to scaling a product-based brand — with heart and precision.

The moodboard and the vision weren’t in conflict. They just needed a bridge. My job was to honour her existing brand while building a distinct podcast identity that could hold the full weight of where she was taking this show — something that felt like a natural extension of her brand world, but with an edge and intentionality the previous visuals hadn’t captured.

The goal was for every graphic to make her audience feel three things: seen, ambitious, and absolutely certain they were in the right place.

Once the full suite was delivered, Maureen had a cohesive podcast brand that finally matched the energy she’d been pouring into every episode — bold enough to stop the scroll, warm enough to pull listeners in, and strategic enough to grow with her.
